In what is becoming a more and more common occurence, Stoddart provided several complimentary products in the one job in Roxburgh Park in Victoria at the True North District Active Reserve in the City of Hume.
Working with Spiire architects, Stoddart employed the timeless timber skillion shelter design in an 8x6m configuration in Merbau timber to provide cover for a double hotplate DDA compliant barbeque and picnic seating. Additionally, Stoddart supplied a stainless steel spiral bike hoop adjacent to the structure.
In all the designs supplied, the quality of both the materials and fabrication quality set what are relatively common products apart from our competitors. It is such that on this job and many since, Stoddart are being turned to to supply a whole range of products over previously specified competitors. The in-house design and project management capabilities, on top of the quality production management at Stoddart, ensures mult-faceted projects such as this look as good as they can, and provide the best solution to our clients.

Stoddart, as part of the enormous Darling Harbour Live re-development in 2017, were engaged by Lend Lease to manufacture and install 19 ‘sign blades’ along the central boulevard between the International Convention and Exhibition centres, and the Tumbalong Park precinct.
Scattered along the boulevard in random groups of 2s and 3s, the blades stand 7 metres tall and 2 metres wide each and feature a mirror-finish designed to reflect the lights and built environment of the Harbour. Primarily serving to house large LED display screens for wayfinding and entertainment purposes, the stunning visual effect they create in their surrounds makes them as much sculptural as their purpose is functional.
Utilising a structural steel frame to mount speakers, power outlets, and the large LED displays, and clad in solid and perforated 316 stainless steel panels, the sign blades are fantastic examples of Stoddart’s quality workmanship, attention to detail, and capacity for large-volume architectural metalwork in high profile settings.
