Oakbank Boulevard Timber Park | Stoddart Infrastructure Project

As part of a $440k upgrade of the Oakbank Boulevard park and playspace designed by CDA design group for the City of Whittlesea, Stoddart were engaged to supply a centrally located picnic shelter and picnic settings to the project.

Identifying a great opportunity to bring the client’s vision in line with the popular timber skillion shelter design while still achieving the striking wave aesthetic of the roof structure and large covered area, Stoddart designed, engineered, and fabricated the custom timber wave shelter to suit a 6x6m covered area, as well as providing two Town & Park Metro table settings.

Featuring hardwood timber construction with galvanised steel framing and a timber shade screen, the shelter outcome and associated furniture will stand the test of time in what is already a popular park and playspace - having been featured recently in a local Whittlesea newspaper.
