Peter Augustus New Farm | Kitchen Contracting Project

Project Completion: 2018

October 1, 2020

Stoddart Kitchen Contracting recently completed a project for Peter Augustus Craft Butcher (owned by Australian company Stanbroke) in New Farm, QLD.

Stanbroke Beef operate 8 cattle stations in North Queensland and manage 46 properties in South East Queensland. With their own processing facility in Grantham they control every aspect of the process from beast to plate. Their beef is typically sold wholesale to restaurants and catering companies, but in this case Stanbroke wanted to showcase their produce to everyone. Their concept was to create a butcher shop like no other. Their beef is their prize jewellery and they wanted to ensure that it was displayed in such a way that made everyone aware of its quality.

Stoddart provided bespoke display cases with a generous meat ageing cabinet and installed an integrated Himalayan salt brick back-lit display. The cabinets utilise UV antibacterial lighting, and the meat age display features humidity control to achieve precise ageing of the beef.

The cabinets supplied have the largest frameless double-glazed glass doors Stoddart has ever manufactured, which also includes hidden recessed handles. Stoddart completed the entire fit out including the cool room, Simply Stainless benching, custom refrigerated cabinets and a remote refrigeration system within the 3-month deadline. The attention to detail was spot on, and the results speak for itself. Peter Augustus Craft Butcher opened in late March 2018 with the prospect of further stores to come.
