Boathouse Restaurant - Regatta Hotel
After lengthy delays in the renovation process (Due to the devastating floods in Brisbane in 2010), the Spirit Hotel Group reopened the iconic Boathouse Restaurant at the Regatta Hotel. The design brief was for a completely open kitchen, meaning all cooking equipment would be visible - creating in itself a challenging scenario. In conjunction with Spirit Hotels, Dreamtime Architects and Fire and Ice, a design was formulated which solved any and all issues before they occurred and provided the client with a functional kitchen that can serve high quality meals to a 200 seat capacity.
Utilising Electrolux 900XP high performance char grills, solid tops and cooktop burners in addition to several Adande undercounter refrigerated drawers, the Boathouse is back better than ever.
Having such a good relationship with his multitude of corporate partners, it seemed a natural fit to showcase Electrolux Professional products within the open kitchen at Luke Mangan's latest restaurant, Mojo. The kitchen features an Electrolux 10-Tray Combi Oven, 6-Burner gas range with oven, and a gas chargrill with stainless steel burners which heat up in seconds and grills their meats and fish perfectly.
Also installed is an Electrolux hood type dishwasher that is ideal for its speed and low running costs, which is important given how frequently it is used during service.
Frogmore Creek Restaurant
A short drive out of Hobart you can find the beautiful surrounds of Frogmore Creek WInery, as well as their new restaurant. One important element for the kitchen design was that they wanted a open plan kitchen that created a sapce where the kitchen was more a part of the restaurant than a separate piece.
With an Electrolux Professional combi oven as well as Electrolux Professional XP fryers, pasta cookers and griddles, the kitchen staff at Frogmore Creek are glad to add their own scenery inside to complement that experienced outside.
